It’s almost exam time for my eldest so it’s great craic here at the moment! ????????On a serious note, working with Instagram over the past few weeks has been a real eye opener, I had no idea just how many tools & resources are available for us parents to help teens navigate the online world as safely as possible ????If you’ve got teens like me also preparing for Christmas exams it’s important of course that they take a break away from their phone to focus on their studies. ✅ Once the Family Supervision setting is activated, we can help them do just that by limiting the amount of time they can spend on the app.✅We can protect their accounts from unwanted interactions by using the restrict button, as well as limiting those who can tag and mention our teens on the app.✅ Other features such as Hidden Words allows us to filter emojis, words or phrases that we don’t want to see in our teens account. Little changes to our teens’ accounts can make a big difference and as we come to the end of the year, I reckon now is a good time to reflect and set good habits. Delighted to join the @weee_ireland team once again to help launch their Schools Battery Recycling Competition this week, with the help of this adorable gang from Roundwood National School (one of the overall winners from last year! ????????)The competition is open to all primary and secondary schools in WEEE Ireland battery recycling counties that collect at least 10 full 5kg battery boxes.
