Mel B Marries Longtime Partner Rory McPhee in Stunning London Ceremony

Melanie “Mel B” Brown and Rory McPhee have taken their relationship to the next level.

The renowned Spice Girls member, known to many as Scary Spice, officially became Mrs. McPhee in a heartfelt ceremony held in The Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, on July 5, marking six years since their relationship began.

Mel shared a picturesque photo of the couple outside the historic cathedral on Instagram, captioning it with the simple yet meaningful “05.07.25.”

During the wedding, the 50-year-old dazzled in a custom ivory gown by Josephine Scott before later transitioning to an elegant dress designed by Justin Alexander.

Earlier in the year, Mel revealed that her ex-bandmate Victoria Beckham had crafted another one of her exquisite dresses.

“Victoria actually designed my dress and my mom's dress,” the judge from America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League shared on Today with Hoda & Jenna. “It’s such a beautiful honor to receive.”

Adding to the glamour, celebrities like Emma Bunton, Cara Delevingne, Daisy Lowe, and Katherine Ryan attended the lavish celebrations.

Mel’s daughters—Pheonix Chi (26) with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, Angel Iris (18) with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy, and Madison (13) with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte) served as bridesmaids, adding a personal touch to the event.

Securing a wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral was no small feat. Mel was granted this privilege following her appointment to the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Prince William in recognition of her efforts in raising awareness about domestic violence.

“It’s a big deal because when you get married there—not many people are allowed to get married there,” Mel shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “You have to be kind of special.”

A Three-Year Wait

The couple had been anticipating their special day for three years after Rory proposed during a romantic trip to Berkshire.

Reflecting on the proposal, Mel said to comedian Ruby Wax on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2022, “He said, 'I love you, you're my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,'” adding, “There were rose petals everywhere, a log fire, a hotel—which was Cliveden. It was very romantic. I love flowers.”
